He did two tours in Iraq, but despite good reports from COs, he was repeatedly transferred. We move to break on a still of Gibbs amused, Ziva annoyed, McGee flabbergasted, and Walsh a bit chagrined.īack at the squad room, Tony and Ziva are backgrounding PO Neisler. McGee waits for the payoff, but Tony blows her off and tells her McGee can help. Even Gibbs is amused by how forward she is. Gibbs wants to take a look at Walsh’s case file. Ziva has determined that PO Neisler took a shotgun with him when he beat feet. But McGee is upset that Tony doesn’t have turkey jokes. Tony and McGee are deciding whether to bag the turkey. Even after Ziva points out they’re in the middle of an investigation and Walsh is in the middle of a trial, Walsh is still all mind if I make a run at it. But Walsh has noticed that Tony is single, and what the hell? Since when are attractive, confident, professional ladies interested in Tony? Ziva probably wasn’t the person to ask, although she overcompensates and says they’re just friends when Walsh reads the room and asks if she overstepped. Which is a bit unfair since Tony really is second only to Gibbs. Ziva allows that he’s “also capable,” but not without stumbling. Ziva agrees Gibbs is a capable investigator. Walsh, who happens to be an attractive redhead, sounds out Ziva about Gibbs. And even gives McGee credit for the idea. Tony suggests canvassing the local take-out joints given the trash evidence of the PO’s eating habits. They didn’t know anyone was staying in the home. He notices a lot of baseball bats lying around. Gibbs asks about the trial, and Walsh says it wasn’t a mafia-type trial so as to put PO Neisler at risk. Ziva finds a dead, unprocessed turkey in the fridge. The friend claims he didn’t even know PO Neisler was staying at his place. Other than a gas purchase on his credit card, PO Neisler has disappeared without a trace. He walks into the living room to find empty beer bottles and pizza that has been sitting out all night. He gets up groggily, and trips over a baseball bat in the hall.
